Barb Richter L.M.T.
Barb is a licensed Medical Massage Therapist through the Ohio State Medical Board. She has been licensed since 1999. Her license was obtained through the State Medical Board of Ohio where she received the second highest score in the state. She was a graduate of the Dayton School of Medical Massage, located in Kettering, Ohio. She has additional training in CranioSacral Therapy through the renown Upledger Institute and Trigger Point Therapy from Clair Davies trainer and author of the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. She holds a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy and Medical Massage along with being a Lypossage practitioner. Barb taught at the Miami Jacobs Career College in the Massage Therapy program teaching in the classroom massage theory, practice and ethics. She is committed to enhancing and perfecting the skills required to provide the best service to her clients.
Over the past 15 years she has had the privilege of working with clients/patients with various needs. Some of those needs have been: post-surgery hip replacement, knee replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy, people that have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, Sjogren's Syndrome, Scleroderma, Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson disease, plantar fasciitis, carpel tunnel, and headaches/migraines. One of her passions is working with victims of auto accidents and watching them heal and progress to having control over their lives again. Having had a serious accident herself, she understands the process of healing the mind as well as the body, which in turn allows the spirit to heal.
Barb will give you self-care tools like an exercise program and changes in your ergonomic environment to continue your care and progress in reducing your pain level at home. She believes in helping you keep your whole body healthy.
